On Saturday 4th March We celebrated all of the 100 incredible communities signed up to our network at the first Barry repair cafe.

Held in the town’s library, over 40 items were brought in for repair by our talented fixers.

The volunteer team did a wonderful job of creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere and the event was topped off with a delicious vegan celebration cake made by local baker, Sarah, from Cake & a Cwtch, as well as visits from the Mayor of Barry, Helen Payne, and Susan Lloyd-Selby, the Mayor of the Vale of Glamorgan.

The volunteers fixed a huge variety of items including a toy unicorn, Dyson vacuum cleaner, radio, coffee machine and a Snoopy toy which was over 30 years old!

Thank you to every single one of you who has helped us to reach this fantastic milestone. We were lucky enough to have this achievement featured on ITV Wales news (see below!).
