We have some pretty amazing people in the Repair Cafe Wales Family
As part of a new initiative we will be running a series on getting to know our volunteers. We’ve set a series of questions and our amazing volunteers have answered them ‘virtually’ for us.
Next up in the series is John from Mold
Q: What is your name, which repair café location do you volunteer at and what’s your role / skill?
A: John Holiday, Mold, Bike Fixpert.
Q: Why did you decide to volunteer with Repair Cafe Wales?
A: I wanted to help fix bikes so that more people can enjoy cycling in the great out
doors.
Q: What do you like best about the repair café?
A: Meeting other local people and helping with bike issues.
Q: What do you think the repair café does for the community?
A: I think it helps bring more people together and creates a community spirit.
Q: How does the repair café make you feel?
A: It makes me feel closer to the local community and better for getting my cyclists out there.
Q: What else do you in your spare time?
A: I am a Sustrans Ranger, Bikeability Instructor in schools & active in numerous cycling related groups,including tandem rides for those with visual impairment.
Q: Would you recommend volunteering for a Repair Cafe? Why?
A: I would recommend volunteering at a local Repair Cafe. It’s a great initiative that is helping the local community and environment in which we live.
