Request for proposals

Benthyg Cymru and Repair Café Wales invite proposals to carry out project work relating to two strategic priorities for repair and reuse in Wales: income generation and behaviour change.

The project briefs are set out below, along with background on both organisations. Both organisations work closely together and there is considerable overlap between the workstreams. However, there are also differences in the organisations’ structures and operations which will influence the projects and outcomes. In addition, the budgets and timelines vary significantly as Benthyg Cymru will be recruiting two new staff roles to deliver the workplans created by these projects, while Repair Café Wales is seeking consultants who are able to have more direct involvement in the design and delivery of the work.

Consultants wishing to submit a proposal for these projects are invited to attend an online information session on Monday 16th October 1-2pm. If you would like to attend this session, please email phoebe@repaircafewales.org for access to the Zoom link.

Proposals must be submitted by midday on Monday 23rd October. The clients may request further detail to aid in their assessments and will communicate their decision in w/c 30th October.

Proposals will be accepted for individual projects or combined activity to deliver the outcomes across all projects for both organisations. Budget and timelines are subject to review and potential negotiation.

Proposals will be scored on a combination of demonstrating a good understanding of the brief, providing value for money and delivering within required timeframes.
