ABOUT THE ROLE
It is an exciting time to be joining Repair Cafe Wales as we continue to grow. We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to work closely with the Director to implement our strategy and drive the organisation forward. This is a key role to our organisation which would best suit a proactive self-starter who is energised by problem solving, collaborative working, and a fast-paced environment.
We are currently a small team that is very supportive of flexible working, with a focus on delivering outcomes. This is a fixed-term contract, with the potential to extend if we are successful in obtaining further funding. This role is home-based but occasional travel to repair cafes across Wales may be expected.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Sustain the existing repair café network, regularly reviewing the current support provided and implementing improvements where required
- Work with the Director to implement the organisational strategy, identifying areas for further growth and improvement
- Support fundraising efforts by collaborating with the Director to develop income streams and submit funding proposals
- Plan and manage activities in accordance with agreed budgets, targets, and timescales
- Ensure that all activities are carried out in a manner which follows best practice, meets quality standards, legislation and health and safety requirements
- Manage partnerships with a variety of stakeholders including third sector organisations, local authorities, education bodies, businesses, and community groups
- Support the Director with team management, including volunteer management
- Complete quarterly funding reports to a high standard
- Raise the profile and awareness of Repair Cafe Wales and represent the organisation at senior level
- Manage the website and social media channels and contribute to the communications strategy

Bookkeeper/ Administrator

ABOUT THE ROLE
It is an exciting time to be joining Repair Cafe Wales as we continue to grow. We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper/Administrator, ideally with experience of working in the third sector, to help support this growth.
You will work from home during flexible hours that suit you and our business, supporting the Repair Cafe Wales team to ensure that we can work as effectively as possible. Areas of responsibility will include the maintenance of accounting systems, financial administration, supporting on some light communication and human resource functions, and data entry and record management.
We are currently a small team that is very supportive of flexible working, with a focus on delivering outcomes. This is a fixed-term contract, with the potential to extend if we are successful in obtaining further funding.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Completing administrative and finance routines relating to orders, sales invoices, receipts and payments
- Maintenance and reconciling of the accounts system
- Helping to prepare the annual accounts
- Employee and volunteer expenses
- Arrange meetings, take minutes, ensure reports and documentation are sent on time
- Data entry and record management
- Website and social media administration
- Liaise with local customers, partners and suppliers as appropriate
- Enrol staff onto pension scheme and liaise with accountant to coordinate payroll
- To undertake other duties commensurate with the post, as agreed by line manager, and willing to take on responsibility where necessary

ABOUT THE ROLE
It is an exciting time to be joining Repair Cafe Wales as we continue to grow. We are seeking an experienced Project Co-Ordinator to manage the opening of ten repair cafés across Wales, as part of a WCVA funded project. This role would best suit a candidate with experience of working in the third sector and of managing volunteers.
We are currently a small team that is very supportive of flexible working, with a focus on delivering outcomes. This is a fixed-term contract, with the potential to extend if we are successful in obtaining further funding. This role is home-based but occasional travel to repair cafes across Wales may be expected.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the opening of ten repair cafes across Wales
- Provide full oversight of the funding associated with this project, including the budget and targets
- Complete all fund monitoring documents to a high standard
- Manage and train volunteers
- Work with the Operations Manager to identify areas for operational improvement
- Plan and manage activities in accordance with agreed budgets, targets, and timescales
- Ensure that all activities are carried out in a manner which follows best practice, meets quality standards, legislation and health and safety requirements
